Al Gore and Bill Nye are not scientists!

Al Gore and Bill Nye are two public figures that are main proponents of global warming. One is a politician and the other is a comedian. Both have used global warming as a cover to promote their own self-interests…getting filthy rich. Gore and Nye have certainly had an impact on swaying public opinion on the issue, however their credibility to talk about these issues comes into questions as neither has a background in science. It’s important to understand the ramifications of environmental regulations and how they have negatively impacted the economy.

The climate is changing, however the amount that has been caused by man is undetermined. What was once called global warming is now referred to as climate change. This should naturally show us that climate science is not settled and there is still more information to be had.

President Obama put some of the harshest environmental regulations on America when we were recovering from the 2008 Financial Crisis. In 2016, his last year in office his administrations imposed environmental regulations that cost the American economy nearly $2 trillion. Manufacturing jobs have been part of the workforce that has been hurt the most. The economy suffered as a result and we had the slowest post-recession recovery in U.S. history.

We should be in favor of doing what we can to protect the environment, but it should not come at the expense of the American workforce. Government imposed environmental sanctions, the EPA, and other environmental groups have significantly harmed the economy.

The Paris Climate Agreement, had been a horrible deal for America. Part of America’s plan had been sending foreign aid to other countries contingent that they followed environmental guidelines. Furthermore, the burden of the sanctions fell on American businesses. Big corporations were able to afford paying the fines and regulations to stay in business, smaller companies could not. If you look at the lobbyists that support these economy killing regulations they are big companies that can afford to pay the cost, while the small companies go out of business. President Trump was right in taking America out of the Paris Climate Accord. The Accord motivated a crony system that allowed big corporations to monopolize and end competition for smaller businesses.

If there truly is an environmental problem with the planet, we should be informed by scientists. Unfortunately, there is false information being thrown around readily by people who are not credible sources. That is why I call on Al Gore and Bill Nye to step off the stage and let real scientists tell us whether or not there is a problem with our climate and how we can fix it.

  1. Sorry, but real scientists cannot and will not tell us whether or not there is a problem with our climate and how we can fix it. The vast majority of the paychecks received by scientists, scientific organizations and university science departments comes from tax money collected and distributed to them by the political classes, all of whom have their own political agenda. If the scientific community does not deliver the results that the politicians want they will not get their paychecks. Even “peer-reviewed” results are reviewed by the same people who get the same paychecks from the same sources. Climate Change is politics and politics is corrupt.
