Bang-Bang: Quick! Blame The Lead Projectile!

I had originally said I would not write about this on-set death because it was just idiotic. But then here came the headlines about the Alec Baldwin New Mexico ranch movie set shooting. Here’s two:

“A projectile from the gun struck and ultimately killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.”

“Alec Baldwin’s gun fired lead projectile.”

To the first headline I thought: Well, geez, what if Alec had just stood there and said bang-bang? Let the sound effects guy add the boom. To the second I thought: Did the gun target her for its wroth?

Sigh.

So I thought what better way to comment upon it than to post something on my public FB page.

Begin here what I posted:

“Police say Baldwin is cooperating fully…but they have no idea where in the world he is” because he and his family packed up and vamoosed.

Well, I’ll tell you where he is.

He’s with a cadre of criminal and civil attorneys working out a legal game plan, that’s where he is. Cases involving important people don’t get handled at the local detective level, so we’ve probably got the governor of California, the captain of that garbage scow himself, Gavin Newsom, calling in favors; and I wouldn’t be surprised if Commie Kammie isn’t weighing in on this, too.

However, what is best about this particular story from which [a screenshot was] taken, is what it says about the killer. It is a projectile, not the actor, that “ultimately” did the killing.

So, does that make Alec Baldwin sort of like the criminal boss who orders a hit but it’s the hitman who was sent and “ultimately” did the killing?

In any case, [that] screenshot is just one of the spin angles that began immediately from the lamestream media machine to protect Baldwin. I foresee a series of beautifully lit, soft-filtered, and highly scripted interviews meant to taint a jury pool and salvage the reputation of a top Hollywood moneymaker. Look for:

1. A retrospective of his filmography when he was cute and extremely photogenic…

2. …trotted out after warm family scenes featuring the cooking of the breakfast, and the bowing of the heads, and the sipping of the espresso…

3. …to be followed by his “good deeds done” and “his political action work that is saving mankind and the climate”…

4. …then a sit-down with Oprah’s best friend Gail King who is brilliant at acting the investigative journalist…

5. …eliciting tears of sadness from the man of the hour as he mourns that most brilliant woman who died when the “evil projectile ultimately killed her” after it targeted and chased her around the barn…

6. …after which Gail King will present the ultimate opinion of the situation that the masses must embrace or else.

However, that these types of interviews will not have the salutary effect he hopes for and, after pulling out all the legal and media big guns available to him, I predict this may very well be Baldwin’s Waterloo from whence he does not return in any meaningful fashion and when we finally read his obituary, this will be the leading headline:

Once-famous actor but best remembered for on-set shooting death, Alec Baldwin dies.

End what I posted. Now we go to responses from these Facebooks:

MAN WHO SHALL NOT BE NAMED: I’m really disappointed Angela that you would take this terrible tragedy and turn it into a political diatribe. This was an accident, nothing political about it!

MY REPLY: Sir, this was not a diatribe. It was a statement of fact.

MAN WHO SHALL NOT BE NAMED:  Sorry! I don’t agree. Shouldn’t even be mentioned. I know a lot of people don’t like Mr. Baldwin, but I’m sure he is distraught over what happened. You don’t know where he is and what he’s really going through.

MY REPLY: I am sure Alec Baldwin is distraught over it…as well he should be. But distraught about what? I hope it is the woman’s death, but I don’t know. And I have reason to wonder. In any case, the facts remain that the Media Spin machine will work overtime to protect him and will make all sorts of excuses for him, and will, I am positive, make statements about not making judgments on Baldwin’s guilt or innocence until all the facts are in. And in this they are correct.

However, I’m reminded of an old saying: What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. Clearly Baldwin and the legacy media have not and are not affording the same patience and “get all the facts” attitude before excoriating any law enforcement officer caught in real life and death situations where a death occurs.

You see, sir, you are a good man who does not understand Evil and that it will use guile and manipulation no matter what. That’s what I like about you…your innocence.

I, on the other hand, do understand Evil and have always been able to see its games. That is what frustrates you about me. [Zero thumbs up earned.]

Well, I still disagree with your point of view.

ANOTHER MAN TO THE FIRST MAN: Baldwin has plenty of liability, both as the executive producer who hired both assistant director Dave Halls, who told Baldwin the gun was cold without properly inspecting it, as well as the affirmative action hire of the inexperienced armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, who left the gun on the cart, as well as the actual triggerman.

While looking up Halls’ & Gutierrez-Reed’s names, I ran across this article, which pretty much confirms what Angela Durden originally wrote. Click Here.

END OF THE FB POST EXCERPTS and BACK TO THE ARTICLE

Several people commented that there is no way any actor is responsible for handling a firearm given him after being told it is a safe weapon.

I bet these same people believe that it is okay to kill a child still in the womb because, after all, it can’t breathe on its own yet so it must not be a real human.

I bet those same people believe women get pregnant accidentally, you know, because a man tripped and fell on top of her while her legs were spread and uploaded a baby.

I bet some of those same people believe a man who says the female is safe from pregnancy because he is sterile (either naturally or by medical manipulation) and doesn’t need to use protection when having sex.

How stupid can these people get? Anyway…

My main point is that Alec Baldwin was and is quite willing to withhold rights from those who disagree with him but will demand those very same rights for himself. But then, he is one of the glitterati, isn’t he?

In the long run, I don’t think Alec Baldwin is going to come out of this looking good. Especially if he follows the standard procedure of the Legacy Media and spin, spin, spin like a whirling dervish.
