A well-funded, well-organized and perfectly-timed Invasion

Where is the so-called “caravan of immigrants,” an army of 14,000 (and growing) sleeping?  What are they eating and drinking?  Where are they using restroom facilities?  Who has organized and funded this?

It should be patently obvious to all that this is not an organic migration of would-be immigrants or asylum-seekers but a well-organized and perfectly-timed political event with a cast of thousands.   And it has serious implications for our national security.   If we fall for it, our southern border will collapse.

Advancing on another sovereign nation under your own flag, breaking through sovereign boundaries by force, disregarding international and national laws to press a threat of forceful entry on the USA is an invasion, not immigration.

The participants in this “caravan” demonstrate open hostility toward our borders, our laws and our sovereign right to modulate immigration to the pace at which our communities can absorb new arrivals, and new arrivals enjoy the best prospects for successfully integrating into our society.

If successful, mass-invasion by force – supported, supplied and organized by Leftists, will supplant any law defending our national sovereignty. Having permitted mob over-run of the border, we won’t be able to restore lawful or orderly immigration processes that allow vetting and selection.

Rather than allowing ourselves to be overrun while we worry that our sovereignty is politically incorrect (as the Europeans have done), we must recognize our real moral obligation: Defend ourselves and our children from the lawlessness and destructiveness of illegal mass-migration.

Open-borders advocates argue that the pursuit of a better life by would-be immigrants obliges us to open our borders.
That there is a “better life” on display here is a function of two key features of American society – both of which are under constant and effective but deceptive assault by the Left:

  • Economic liberty
  • Equality under law

Having allowed the Left to chip away at both of these pillars here in America, our economic liberty has been infringed and our prosperity diminished. Mass-migration from unstable parts of the world is among the weapons used by enemies of Western Civilization in Europe. We’ve witnessed the results: destabilized European societies and demoralized native populations.

Immigration is needed by the USA but ONLY at a pace permitting assimilation of immigrants. Our country has not only a right but a DUTY to select immigrants for their potential to succeed in a condition of economic liberty.

Individual asylum seekers have a route by which they may apply. That process does NOT involve forming a mob to mow-down fences and other physical barriers. People engaged in mob behavior should be considered disqualified by their having participated in this lawless invasion.

The sad reality is this: Most of the population in countries which succumb to totalitarian regimes; communism or socialism or to the corruptive influence of criminal organizations and terrorists will suffer greatly.  Many will starve, be imprisoned or be murdered.  Only by demanding liberty; economic and otherwise, can those victimized by inept, corrupt or evil abuses of force improve their lot.

The same fate awaits us if we succumb to the destabilizing efforts of power-seekers. If economic liberty falls here, humanity itself is in for a bitter, dark winter.

This is not a “right-wing extreme” idea but a lesson taught by history and written in the blood and the tears of those whose lives were ruined or taken by tyrants brought to power through the crisis’ they themselves provoke.

If we allow this invasion, we empower its organizers and guarantee the next one, and the next one, and the one after that.

If we repel this invasion, we prevent the next one; we reinforce our sovereign right to control our border and the rate at which new immigrants are welcomed. As a bonus, we deflate the power of those working to cultivate a humanitarian crisis they can convert into political power.

  1. There is a challenge in the illegal migration issue; of the many that are coming to the U.S., many are coming here for a better life. Why would you leave a third world nation? For something better. One of the errors that the right makes is to broad stroke define the illegal immigrants (or in the case of the caravan, so-called asylum seekers).

On the right, we often get angry to the point that we forget it is people in these caravans. It is a human, a person crossing over the border and eventually disappearing. It is still people. The reason why the right doesn’t win, and the left has yet to lose, on the immigration issue is the right’s messaging on the border just stinks.

While ‘build the wall’ is a good chant line and works for the base, those in the middle (independents) are not as keen on that. Yes, they do want border security but also want to be humane. The right has been guilty of both doing nothing and being too blunt in messaging.

Why does this matter to the caravan? Without question it is a marching invasion bent on pushing its way in to the U.S. as it did Mexico. It is a group that has no will or want to be Americans. They only wish to get away from something; a despotic and failing home country.

If you ask the left, you get a generic ‘we need comprehensive immigration reform’ reply. What that means is amnesty and nothing more. They know they can’t win on that message but it’s all they’ve got. It’s the right’s issue to lose. And as is often the case, the right loses.

This goes to the heart of your post Patricia regarding the two functions of economic liberty and equality under the law; if the right could execute on a strategy that forces the left to simply admit (as the do now with socialism) that they are ‘one worldists’, then progress for law and order would be much more achievable.

It starts with understanding that even as invaders, any American can also see why someone would walk over a thousand miles to get to America. If the right shows heart for that and does so rather loudly, then the call for law and order will resonate for moderates and independents.

Easier said than done but it does start with opening any statement communicating; ‘We understand that so many coming over the border are looking for a better life and we want to help them legally through the system to do so as do all immigrants, but we need to use the laws of America to do so’.

    …or something like that.

    • You’re right that open-borders advocates argue that the pursuit of a better life by would-be immigrants obliges us to open our borders. The solution to the problem faced by people who’ve been impovershed by corrupt, inept or evil abuse of force isn’t geographic; the solution is ECONOMIC LIBERTY.

That there is a “better life” on display here is a function of two key features of American society – both of which are under constant and effective but deceptive assault by the Left:
      Economic liberty
      Equality under law

Just as Americans have a right and a responsibility to establish a government which serves to defend our natural human rights, so do they. Just as we have a responsibility to purge corruption and abuse from our government, so do they. The CONSEQUENCE of failing to self-govern is subjugation and impoverishment. This is not simply a “libertarian talking point” but an OBSERVABLE reality.

Rather than encouraging mass-migrations that destabilize societies that do promote human thriving, we need to EXPORT THE QUALITIES that cause those societies to promote human thriving. That approach will bring prosperity to many more people who desperately need hope.

  2. I agree that the plan is to supply the people while traveling to the border then to stop supplying. The resulting humanitarian crisis will be real – even though purposely created

Our choices are not limited to “let them in or let them die.”

We can also set up a temporary encampment stocked with supplies that will last a very specific period of time. During that time we can ensure every person has been informed in his own language that NO FOOD, WATER OR MEDICINE will be available after a given date certain. If we are RESOLUTE in our decision to uphold our own law, the gathering will soon dissipate and future gatherings will be more difficult for the organizers of this one to recruit.

If we fail and permit this strategy to demonstrate success, we will face a human tsunami in the next wave. We are RIGHT NOW demonstrating to the whole of south and central America whether or not our laws or our borders have meaning; whether or not legal status in the USA has any value.

  3. I don’t use the word ‘invasion’ to describe it. I tell people that it is an orchestrated humanitarian crisis – or at least it will become one once these people camp out on the border after we deny them entry. Venezuela, George Soros, Nancy Pelosi, and the others behind this are betting that if they put enough people in horrendous counditions on our border, with no way for them to get home, we will let them in before we let them die. Anything else we do, they will overwhelm with people.
