Dear Sir:
A leopard cannot change its spots and an old dog cannot learn new tricks. Truisms you proved about yourself in that horrible, awful speech you gave from Independence Hall last night on September 1, 2022.
Your speech last night had such truth in it. Too bad those were overshadowed by malicious, spiteful cruelty as you issued a call to arms for your paymasters’ puppets.
The Washington Times predicted your speech to be a “snooze fest”. They were not wrong.
National Review called your speech “blundering, insincere”. An actor you are not, sir.
The Philadelphia Inquirer called it “an attempt to reframe the election”. This may backfire on you.
Worse, Deadline.com reports that ABC, CBS, and NBC declined to carry your speechifying and went with Press Your Luck, a Young Sheldon rerun, and a Law & Order repeat. Further they reported that “CNN and MSNBC carried the address, as did news division streaming channels, but Fox News stuck with Tucker Carlson and his critique of the speech as it was happening.”
And thanks to a heads up from The Epoch Times Breaking News Reporter Jack Phillips who reported an even better comment from Jeff Zeleny, CNN’s Chief National Affairs Correspondent, said: “There’s nothing unusual or wrong with a President delivering a political speech — it’s inherent in the job description — but doing it against a backdrop of two Marines standing at attention and the Marine Band is a break with White House traditions.”
Not that the speech you gave was full of lies because it wasn’t.
For instance, here I quote verbatim just a few of the truths you spoke in that speech:
“I speak to you tonight from sacred ground in America: Independence Hall in Philadelphia, Pa. This is where America made its declaration of independence to the world more than two centuries ago, with an idea unique among nations: that in America, we’re all created equal. This is where the United States Constitution was written and debated. This is where we set in motion the most extraordinary experiment of self-government the world has ever known….[and] are how we became the greatest nation on earth. They are why, for more than two centuries, America has been a beacon to the world…But as I stand here tonight, equality and democracy are under assault…We must never forget, we, the people, are the true heirs of the American experiment that began more than two centuries ago.
“We, the people, have burning inside of each of us the flame of liberty that was lit here at Independence Hall. A flame that lit our way through abolition, the Civil War, suffrage, the Great Depression, world wars, civil rights. That sacred flame still burns…
“But while the threat to American democracy is real I want to say as clearly as we can, we are not powerless in the face of these threats. We are not bystanders in this ongoing attack on democracy…it’s within our power, it’s in our hands…to stopthe assault on American democracy.
“America is at an inflection point, one of those moments that determine the shape of everything that’s to come after. And now, America must choose to move forward or to move backwards, to build a future or obsess about the past, to be a nation of hope and unity and optimism or a nation of fear, division and of darkness.
“This is a nation that honors our Constitution. We do not reject it. This is a nation that believes in the rule of law. We do not repudiate it. This is a nation that respects free and fair elections. We honor the will of the people. We do not deny it. And this is a nation that rejects violence as a political tool. We do not encourage violence. We are still an America that believes in honesty and decency and respect for others…
“For a long time, we’ve told ourselves that American democracy is guaranteed, but it’s not. We have to defend it, protect it, stand up for it, each and every one of us…We, the people, will not let anyone or anything tear us apart. Today, there are dangers around us we cannot allow to prevail. American democracy only works only if we choose to respect the rule of law and the institutions that were set up in this chamber behind me. Only if we respect our legitimate political differences.
“The cynics and the critics tell us nothing can get done, but they’re wrong. There is not a single thing America cannot do, not a single thing beyond our capacity if we do it together. It’s never easy…”
Wow, such great words.
Too bad they were delivered by someone who didn’t believe them.
The only reason you said all the truths listed above is because most people know those words to be true and they assume — gentle, precious, innocent people that they are — that if you say those words you actually believe them. But you, sir, do not believe them. We know this is so because your entire political career has been about ripping apart the foundation of freedom and justice, tearing apart communities and peoples for personal gain.
Then, further fanning the flames of destruction of the Constitution, you peddled your influence, making your out-of-control son your family’s bagman for the money that poured in from your worldwide criminal enterprise.
You aren’t about freedom and justice for all. You’re all about freedom and justice for you and your kind. You aren’t about truth and high moral character. You’re all about lies and abuse of those who have no power.
Is your personal goal money or ideology? Money is very simple. Ideology requires work. I think it’s money because Hunter has been around the world for you as your collections agent, but until recently, you’ve not been very much for the ideology. At least, from what I can see.
So you’ll understand when I don’t take your “word as a Biden” for any promise you make for freedom and justice for all.
Most Americans don’t give safe harbor to hate. But do you want that shining example of high moral character to be known? No, you don’t. You have, however done a fine job of resurrecting Stalin and Lenin by tarring most of the American population with a brush loaded in the tar of your own sins.
One last truth you spoke: It is “our task is to make our nation free and fair, just and strong, noble and whole.” But the United States of America is not a democracy, sir. It is a republic.
For all you throw around references to Our Heavenly Father who you claim to worship, you do not know His purpose and, sir, His purpose does not align with yours. So, I will keep my eyes on the prize my Heavenly Father has promised and will continue to set the record straight to all those I know about your lies, manipulations, threats, machinations, soulless vision, and vicious hate.
Even the Devil tells the truth sometimes.
