For the greater part of two years, we were told to trust Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe. We were told ad nausea that he was a respected former FBI Director, a former Marine and he was a Republican!
When conservatives and Republicans pointed out many issues of the probe; like who was on Team Mueller (lots of lefty HRC folks) or the FISA application’s speciousness, we were told to sit down and shut up. Mueller is the man!
Democrats, and Jeff Flake (whose conservatism is moored in oatmeal), attempted to congressionally ‘protect’ the probe ’round about the 2018 election. It was with fear that Trump might end the probe with the assumption that the president was afraid of the results. That the results would condemn the president as a complicit traitor with Russia in 2016’s defeat of Hillary.
Fear. They feared Trump would end the probe. Trump was certainly noisy about his disdain of the probe. Yet, other than his stream-of-consciousness tweeting, he did quite literally nothing to inhibit Mueller and team. And really, who wouldn’t complain about a proctology exam? Same thing with the Mueller investigation.
Why would Trump not interfere, or even block, the full release of the end-state report?
Because he didn’t do it. He didn’t collude.
We know that. The AG summary of the full report stated, “[T]he investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activity.”
Reaction on the left of the AG’s summary? To quote Joy Behar, “It’s not true…This is round one, so let’s just hold our breath.”
But..but..but………
Hope against hope, when you hold to a narrative for over two years, a belief so certain, it’s hard to let go. So convinced on the left of Trump’s supposed malfeasance, even when Mueller’s report clearly stated there was no ‘there’ there, this wasn’t good enough.
So invested and assured was the left of the evil Trump collusion, that upon the Mueller Report release, it was Trump-ageddon! It was the end of the world as we know it. Chernobyl could only have melted down so completely.
From Chris Matthews apoplexy (“How could they let Trump off the hook?”) to Beto’s abject denial of reality, “You have a president, who, in my opinion, beyond the shadow of a doubt, sought to, however ham-handedly, collude with the Russian government,”, the left is not grasping reality.
Fading from our memories is Martha Raddatz’s teary 2016 election night after the win of Donald Trump. As did Martha then, the left now can’t believe this Mueller result. The most precious is Rachel Maddow’s reaction to the Mueller Report news:
Chris Matthews, in declaring himself unhappy at the report, tried to still make the case, “Maybe he missed the boat here, because we know about the Trump Tower meeting in June 2016, we know about the meeting at the cigar bar with Kilimnik. My God, we know about all of those meetings with Kislyak at the Republican convention in Cleveland. All these dots we’re now to believe don’t connect.”
Connecting dots? Hard evidence? Hard evidence like 30,000 deleted emails, unrecoverable hard drives and smashed mobile devices? Those kinda dots? With all that hard evidence, they should be charging Trump to high heaven right now!
Oops. So sorry. That was Hillary Clinton.
Dutifully and uniformly parroted across the left is the newest talking point of Mueller’s report, best served up by everyone’s favorite curmudgeon, Bernie Sanders, “I don’t want a summary of the report! I want the whole damn report because nobody, especially this president, is above the law.”
From Gillibrand to Harris and beyond, all of them are pushing this easily identifiable talking point. This probe’s report is not only being called for in its unredacted form from Democrats, but you also hear calls for ‘all the underlying evidence‘.
Oh for the love of donuts and all that is donut-hole-y….
I’m going to break to to our friends on the left, and it comes directly from Barr’s summary, “Given these restrictions (ed. – on what can be made public), the schedule for processing the report depends in part on how quickly the Department can identify the 6(e) material that by law cannot be made public. I have requested the assistance of the Special Counsel in identifying all 6(e) information contained in the report as quickly as possible.”
Barr is going to release as much as possible as soon as possible.
Lefty talking point number one crashing and burning.
But the Democrats are screaming for the full and unredacted report. Which is illegal. Even Donna Brazile agrees that you can’t publish Grand Jury output.
So stated Barr in the self-same report, “..subject to Federal Rule of Criminal Procedure 6(e), which imposes restrictions on the use and disclosure of information relating to “matter[s] occurring before [a] grand jury.”
If Bernie wants the ‘whole damn report’, Bernie needs the security clearance. Same with the rest of these ne’er do well leftist politicians. Nonetheless, it’s still a dead and dumb talking point.
Democrats are relying on their political base not reading the report. Gillibrand, Bernie, Kamela et al, can shout for the full report but that’ll only last ’em a couple of weeks.
The same is the case with their ‘underlying documentation’ gobbledygook, it’s a fishing expedition. It’s simply a means to exploit unsubstantiated claims against Trumpworld people.
Completely threadbare are the left’s verbal flailings upon the release of the Mueller Report. This after telling us to trust Mueller and the investigation. An investigation that Democrats demanded be protected.
Representative Adam Schiff and gang now demand that Mueller testify in front of his congressional committee. To force Mueller to account for his actions. The leftist mafia will promise to protect you until you don’t do their bidding. Then watch out.

All these Democrat’s that made their progressive bones with the #Resistance have little in hand to show for their efforts. They became heros to the left. Heros to leftist Twitter, to CNN, to MSNBC and to the impeach hungry screamers. Former CIA Director John Brennan became the voice of a man with official gravitas only to be exposed as a bloviating conspiracy theorist.
What happens when heros fail? For the left, it usually means you become a presidential contender like Beto or Stacy Abrams. The the leftist networks have already started running new narratives on obstruction (there isn’t) and politicians are milking this thing for every possible drop of evil Trump blood.
