We the people, know not to pay attention to the fake news media pushing their biased political agendas. However, are we as aware of the political bias of the companies which you may buy services or goods from? The left-wing fringe actively targets any businesses that don’t share in their particular worldviews with lawsuits, boycotts and attacks on social media as a way to punish and influence large and small businesses. In response, many companies and corporations now market a public image that supports left-wing causes. To try to balance this, conservatives have also created boycott lists of companies that support the left wing causes. The problem with all this is who will bother to look at the hundred or so companies on these lists and how will you boycott things that may be part of your normal daily life?

To address the problem of broad boycott lists that are effectively meaningless, GLM has created the “Do Not Buy List” that targets just a handful of the worst-of-the-worst corporate offenders and provides realistic alternatives. These corporations, most of which are public for-profit companies, spend money that belongs to their shareholders to push for a social agenda of the anti-American, left-wing radicals. It’s time to hold these companies to account and stop spending our money which gets used to push for agendas which we don’t agree.

Do Not Buy List (Top Offenders)

  • Dick’s Sporting Goods CEO Ed Stack has ironically embarked upon an anti-gun campaign since the Parkland tragedy in Florida and has removed all guns and related products from Dick’s stores. He is also using corporate profits to run anti-gun marketing all the while he gives lip service and says he supports the gun rights. Supporters of the Second Amendment should stop purchasing any items from Dick’s and it’s subsidiary, Field and Stream stores. Support your local and family run sporting goods and gun stores. If you enjoy shopping online, check out Midway USA or Brownells for all your shooting needs.
  • Airbnb.com, the online guest lodging service and it’s CEO Brian Chesky took it upon himself, without permission from Airbnb customers, to send unsolicited political attack message to all their customers denouncing President Trump’s policy on immigration. This is a flagrant violation of standard email usage policies. I am pretty sure not one of their customers who used their website to book lodging gave their permission for airbnb to send them political messages one way or another. The next time you are looking to book vacation rentals, check out VRBO, Priceline, or any of the other booking sites.
  • Ben and Jerry’s the Vermont based ice cream maker is long known for its 60s style hippy vibe and promotion of “social change”. New CEO Joshstein Solheim, a Norwegian who was previously with the Dutch company Unilever, wants open borders in US and supports the Black Lives Matter (BLM) domestic terrorist group. Instead of Ben and Jerry’s, frequent your locally owned ice cream shop or one of the national chains like Baskin Robbins. Also, Ben and Jerry’s ice cream was never that great in my opinion to being with, try store-bought Breyer’s Ice Cream made with only four natural ingredients and tastes great.
  • Starbucks – In response to President Trump’s position on immigration, then Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz has pledged to hire 10,000 refugees starting with the US stores in 2017. The company didn’t specifically spell out that it would prefer refugees over American citizens but that is the inference. Howard Schultz has since retired but has been a very active supporter of the Democratic party and that culture is permeated throughout the Starbucks organization. However, Howard has since ran afoul of the party as he is contemplating a run for president in 2020 as an independent citing his disillusion with the current extreme socialist/communist leanings of the party. In any case, it never ceases to amaze me that people would line up to pay $5 for a cup of so-so coffee. In taste test after taste test, Duncan Donuts coffee is rated as the best coffee which also happens to cost less than half of a Starbucks cup of java. Better yet, buy bulk pack coffee from the Black Rifle Coffee Company, a 100% veteran owned and operated company.
  • National Football League (NFL), tried to talk out of both sides of its mouth by allowing its players to kneel in anti-American protests and to support domestic agitators like Black Lives Matter (BLM) while at the same time giving lip service to supporting American values and ideals. In another incident, the NFL ran a commercial during the Superbowl in support of illegal immigration. “America’s Game” is no longer what it is. Instead, try to follow your local school sports teams. I stopped watching football altogether and found I have so much more time to be productive and get involved with my kids on my weekends that I don’t miss sports at all.
  • Gillette, the worst a man can get. The razor manufacturer ran a new marketing campaign in 2018 that attacks “toxic masculinity” painting all things that make men, men to be the root cause of all evil. With a main message that came straight out of radical feminism’s talking points, it was a strange attack on their primary customers, men. Being a heterosexual male is now targeted as criminal by Gillette. Frankly, I don’t have to buy Gillette razors ever again. I’ve been using a Norelco electric shaver for years before but I can just as easily buy high-quality shavers for less than half the price from online Dollar Shave Club or retail store bought BIC razors if you prefer traditional razors or go bulk pack razors from any other manufacturers that do just as good of a job.
  • Nike ran a new marketing campaign in 2019 that featured Colin Kaepernick, the former quarterback who started the whole kneeling protest during the national anthem in the NFL. Kaepernick has since been unable to find a job as a quarterback and has sued and settled with the NFL. Many felt offense that a millionaire sports player would use the national anthem as his stage for his pet social grievances (real or imagined). Nike definitely took sides in this controversy declaring Kaepernick as some sort of a hero for his social justice antics. Under Armour is a Baltimore-based US sportswear company that carries a full line of sports-related equipment and clothing and has stayed on the sidelines in this controversy.

Spend Your Money Here List

  • Chik-fil-A is a privately-owned family business and CEO Dan Cathy, whose father started the company, is a hard-working family man who teaches Sunday school on the weekends. Their restaurants are closed on Sundays, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Chik-fil-a has been the target of various left-wing (pun) activists and has been banned from some colleges because of their belief and support for traditional family values and structures. All the protests have had no effect on their sales so far and lines typical form outside of their restaurants due to the popularity of the food. If you haven’t been to one, try it, you will not regret it.
  • Hobby Lobby is a privately owned arts and crafts store started by CEO and founder David Green with $600 dollars is now a multi-billion dollar chain of craft superstores. Hobby Lobby ran afoul of the left-wing radicals when it sued and won against the Obamacare mandate for contraceptives/abortion drugs on religious grounds. Hobby Lobby is boycotted by the left so make sure to visit your local store and show your support.
