How will authentic Americans respond to the now overt and plain-spoken admissions by prominent members of a major American political party that it has formally embraced a platform of these unAmerican agenda-items?
This is the practical platform of today’s Democrat party.
Pursuit of this platform requires the deconstruction of America as constituted.
- Government must engineer society in pursuit of “social justice” which is measured by desired statistical outcomes among various racial, sexual and other “identity-group” classifications. The scope of government’s authorization to pursue “social justice” is without limit and the statistical measure of that “justice” is subject to change at any time depending on which “identity group” is presently seen as the most “oppressed.”
For this aspect of Leftist Collectivism to prevail, the above must replace the defining attribute of our Republic;
The Natural Rights of each individual to Life, Liberty and Property as both the Purpose of every law and Measure of its justice.
Are we willing to allow this?
- Government is the rightful owner and proper steward of all wealth. Property rights are “permitted” by government only at its discretion and only up to a certain, “reasonable” point. “Fairness” demands that an unspecified portion of your earnings be distributed to those who don’t, can’t or won’t earn their own subsistence. The extent of the gov’t’s claim on your earning capacity being unlimited, there is no real point in earning.
For this aspect of Leftist Collectivism to prevail, the above must replace Property Rights and Equality under Law.
Are we willing to allow this?
- The central government will take charge of your bodily care. Only by subjecting every BODY in the nation to the control of Central Government can government demand (and receive) the submissive compliance of an otherwise armed population. Having succeeded in establishing massive regulation of the funding for healthcare, we must now consolidate that power into central government hands by eliminating individual insurance companies and individual healthcare providers. All must answer to the central authority for American Healthcare to be fully socialized.
For this aspect of Leftist Collectivism to prevail, we must disavow our nation’s Constitutional constraints on Federal Power; ultimately replacing the idea of Federal Government (a federation of sovereigns) with a Central Government of unlimited powers over those within its jurisdiction.
Are we willing to allow this?
- There can no longer be any distinction between legal and illegal immigration. To object to mass, uncontrolled, unvetted migration into America from 3rd world countries is to be a racist.
Likewise, we can no longer distinguish between legal and illegal behavior if the person accused of illegal behavior is a member of any “protected class.” Henceforth, the “authorities” will determine whether an illegal act should be treated as such.
For this aspect of Leftist Collectivism to prevail, we must discard our subscription to the Rule of Law, an insightful doctrine dating back to the 1215 Magna Carta:
Justice exists outside of the minds of those into whose hands the writing, executing and adjudicating of Law is entrusted. Therefore, all are subject to the Law – all are equally accountable.
Once we allow that officeholders may decide to apply law according to classification or any other preference, we’ve discarded the rule of law and granted UNLIMITED POWER to the office-holder(s). Those in office are transformed from public servants, accountable to the Law as we are, into Rulers.
Are we willing to allow this?
When American doctrines are no longer spoken in public; when we’re unwilling to speak up in our schools, stores, coffee-shops, churches, cafeterias, clubs, breakrooms, boardrooms…
When authentic Americans become too cowed by the seeming ubiquity of leftist ideology to SPEAK,
Then those who seek to subjugate are the only ones speaking.
