The New York Times’ 1966 headline read: “Religion; ‘God Is Dead’ Debate Widens”. But that is not what people saw. People saw GOD IS DEAD. One man I know told me he was just 14 when he read that headline and, upon seeing the main three words, was scared silly. But he couldn’t prove God was alive, so he lived for many years with no belief in anything but drugs and sex and fun. He was not a happy man.
The notion that God is dead quickly gave way to the more powerful notion that there never has been an Almighty God, The Creator, The One in whose image humans were created.
No, they say, we sprang from a primordial ooze and somehow tadpoles and fishes (or monkeys or whatever) managed to bring into being all the real diversity of every bit of flora, fauna, humans, weather, continents, mountains, clouds, wind, stars, planets, moons, asteroids, black holes, event horizons, prairies, plains, and buttes.
These days the favorite phrase of certain Woke folks is to credit the generic, undefined, and boringly named Universe with all of that.
These same people would be the first to howl in agony if they did not get credit for something they created. Copyright and trademark laws around the world speak to the importance they have in the concept of proper credit and their belief in creation.
These same people would laugh in your face if you said you left your computer in a closet and five years later you heard a knock on the closet door and when you opened it why, there it was: A new case, flat-screen monitor, and upgraded with an awesome up-to-date operating system.
Yet, they feel an emptiness.
They are empty of that which brings their lives meaning. As the emptiness gnaws at their souls the pain of it finally becomes too great to ignore and they seek something that will give them that meaning. So, what do they do? Admit Almighty God exists? No. They choose causes.
Look at all the causes that exist now. Some so narrowly defined as to be almost meaningless. But they worship their opinion with all the fervor of a whirling dervish holding his open right hand to the sky to receive mystic messages. Then they seek to implement their choices by public opinion, or, as we now know, sneakily insert their now-dogma into school curriculums, children’s books, movies, television shows, newscasts, and more.
When that doesn’t work at the pace upon which their fanaticism insists, they misuse the force of law and deploy violence contrary to law. Yet still the fires of emptiness in their souls are not quenched and as they double-down in their belief system, the Woke continue to wonder why they feel so bad when they work so hard to preach it to and force on unbelievers.
I know why. It’s because they harbor a secret doubt.
What is the secret doubt they studiously ignore?
That Almighty God exists and is The Creator, The One in whose image humans were created.
But Almighty God Himself put in us the need for a belief in something higher and more powerful than ourselves. It goes deeper than DNA. It’s built in our consciousness and in our consciences.
That scares them out of their ever-loving minds to admit such a thing, so they won’t, and they don’t. La-la-la-la! they say with fingers in spiritual ears.
Yet the very thing they seek: Meaning in their lives, could be theirs if they just swallow their pride. Oh yes, pride is the obstacle. Belief in Almighty God keeps egos in check. Pride feeds egos. How dare anybody tell them they must kneel?
Ha. Please.
As if they aren’t already kneeling now to the doctrine of Diversity of the Woke Religion. They eagerly push diversity as the be-all and end-all path to salvation, yet they themselves cannot tolerate anything unlike themselves.
And have you noticed that what used to be The Mother Church of Wokeness has splintered off into militant assemblies as infighting erodes their solidarity? For this splintering we should be happy. After all, a house divided against itself cannot stand.
The Bible foretold this time.
In the last book of the Bible, A Revelation to John, failure is prophesied about the shifting sands of radical troublemakers attempts to crumble the strong foundations upon which mankind as a whole operates.
So, yeah. They’ll make noise and trouble, but they are a house divided against itself. They have no real ability to work together. We’ve seen this in action in the countries surrounding Israel. If those countries trusted each other and really had a common goal, the nation would be obliterated.
Their anger is the wine of their communion, and they gulp it greedily. But they are a house divided and so they have and do fail and will again. God’s timing and all that, of course, because it is He who oversees how the course of mankind will go. We can never second guess Him. However, things will turn out well, He promises. Since His promises are based on past promises kept, we who do know God is not dead have hope.
It is upon hope our faith in Almighty God is built.
The Church of The Woke preaches No Hope Here, Folks! They are nihilists whose activism has led to anger and anarchy, all of which are Satan’s tools.
I invite any who believes God is dead or God never existed to share with me via email [ Copy this email address and paste into your email client: angeladurden@msn.com ] why they believe such. Should technology work properly and I receive the email, I will reply. I know you seek a way to address your secret doubt and finally, once and for all time, settle the question in your soul.
